Review of Cancun’s jungle speedboat, reef snorkeling, and Mayan ceremony tour, with honest advice on fees, safety, timing, and value.

“This was a great excursion we added to our trip. All the tour guides were great and have clear instructions. It’s great for all ages. The speed boat hold two adults comfortably. If you have a small child they ride with you if it’s another adult they will have to drive another speed boat. We saw plenty of fish during the snorkeling. I would highly recommend. The food was just okay and our bus was waiting so no time to really eat.”

“I expected more color at this reef that everyone talked so highly of but there wasn't much colorful fish but we did see some cool stuff a turtle an eagle ray a barracuda. And some other schools of fish. Our guides were pleasant and kind. The boat was clean and nice. Our transportation was good. Clean van driver was nice to us and engaging. I like that. The tequila presentation was well done and no pressure to buy but was great...and fun too. Our meal was delicious I have to say and plenty of food. The upsell on pictures was way too much 70USD we did not buy. But overall…”

Review of Puerto Morelos reef snorkeling: small groups, two 45-minute swims, gear included, family tips, price, logistics, and drawbacks.

“Everyone involved with our snorkeling trip to the reef was fantastic and helpful. We were fitted for gear and checked in, and accommodations were made for a diverse group of inexperienced snorkelers. We had a great skipper and our dive master kept us from harming the fragile reef all while letting us get a glimpse of the local aquatic life. My wife was a wee sick and woozy from the boat ride, and all of the staff were kind and considerate in helping her get her land legs back.”

“We did the private tour and Alma was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. We had plenty of time at each location, and we never felt rushed—we could go at our own pace. We had a group of 10, with 2 adults, and 8 kids ranging in age from 7-18. Everyone had a great time and this was their favorite activity of our trip—and it’s usually impossible for us to find something that EVERYONE in our group likes. I would a million percent recommend this to anyone.”

“What an incredible experience from start to finish! David picked us up from our resort and shared stories, music, and laughs with us as we made the hour drive to Puerto Morelos. When we arrived, he stayed with us as we boarded the Tres Hermanos boat with our captains and guides, Angel and Luis. They gave us a rundown of the rules and what to expect as we took the short ride to the reef. We started with snorkeling in the deeper area where we saw wonderful schools of fish like groupers, French grunt, sergeant major, and more! We also saw barracuda and an incredible eagle ray during this dive.…”
