“Absolute scam. I booked a boat trip through Viator for 12pm. Unfortunately, flights changed, and we changed the reservations to 3pm. We showed up for our tour, and Cabos Adventures told us that our trip was sold out and they refused to help us find another boat trip. They also refused to send a formal email confirming that they cancelled our trip to help us get our money back. Absolutely disrespectful. I don’t recommend anyone come to this tour company.”

Review of the Isla Mujeres catamaran cruise from Cancun, with snorkeling, lunch, open bar, beach time, costs, crowds, and practical tips.

“It was a good experience; however, it felt very short. Snorkeling took us only 20 minutes, and the team didn't allow us to use biodegradable sunscreen even though the instructions said we could do it. Long check-in process. Good, but there is room for improvement.”

Review of Cancun’s jungle speedboat, reef snorkeling, and Mayan ceremony tour, with honest advice on fees, safety, timing, and value.

“This was a great excursion we added to our trip. All the tour guides were great and have clear instructions. It’s great for all ages. The speed boat hold two adults comfortably. If you have a small child they ride with you if it’s another adult they will have to drive another speed boat. We saw plenty of fish during the snorkeling. I would highly recommend. The food was just okay and our bus was waiting so no time to really eat.”

Snorkel with sea turtles at Akumal and swim through a Yucatan cenote on this family-friendly half-day tour from Cancun.

“Tour was excellent! We saw fish, a few sea turtles, a stingray, and some squid while snorkeling at Akumal. The cenote was absolutely amazing and so cool to see! We had 12 people in our group which felt a little snug at times in the cenote but I didn’t mind because we still got to see everything. They also provided us with 2 empanadas and a snack (banana and granola bar) which was enough to keep me full during the whole trip (I did eat breakfast before). The drive was long from Cancun but also didn’t bother me because it was definitely worth it! Cenote was a must see and…”

Review of a Tulum tour with cenote swimming, Yal Ku Lagoon snorkeling, Mayan ruins, beach lunch, transport, costs, and practical tips.

“Cenotes were absolutely the best part of the experience. Tulum was breathtaking, but I have seen other similar ruins. The snorkeling was good, but unfortunately, there were so many other inexperienced snorkelers that it felt like driving in rush-hour traffic. I got run over more than once by someone with fins and elbows.. no consideration for anyone near them just to see a fish. The best part of the tour were the guide and the driver, Gato and Adrian. Some of the most professional excursion guides I have ever seen with no thought of anything, but the safety and comfort and enjoyment of their charges. I give them an 11…”

Review of Cancun’s Puerto Morelos reef snorkeling tour with guides, boat time, tacos, tequila tasting, hotel pickup, costs, and practical tips.

“I expected more color at this reef that everyone talked so highly of but there wasn't much colorful fish but we did see some cool stuff a turtle an eagle ray a barracuda. And some other schools of fish. Our guides were pleasant and kind. The boat was clean and nice. Our transportation was good. Clean van driver was nice to us and engaging. I like that. The tequila presentation was well done and no pressure to buy but was great...and fun too. Our meal was delicious I have to say and plenty of food. The upsell on pictures was way too much 70USD we did not buy. But overall…”

Review of Cancun’s shared speedboat and snorkel tour, including the lagoon ride, Punta Nizuc reef, costs, weather risks, and practical tips.

“This was a great short excursion. We have done a lot of long excursions on our trip so far, so it was nice to find something that was shorter and actually in Cancun. The whole excursion was about 2 1/2 hours. Driving the speed boats in the lagoon was fun and interesting. We did have to follow the leader in a caravan but at times could go pretty fast. During the snorkeling part we saw a lot of beautiful fish and some interesting underwater statues. I would highly recommend this tour.”
